Preface
This collection of travel stories reflects an active life filled with exporation and adventure. Some of the stories are taken from previous publications. But this compilation also includes journals and photographs taken from the author's early life,
in particular camping adventures with his children when they were growing up and the family were new arrivals in the western United States. For this reason the
collection is dedicated to his late first wife, Doreen, for her patience and tolerance and to his children, Dana, Kathy and Patrick for their unquenchable spirit and boundless energy. All of them brought great joy to my life.
