OBITUARIES IN THE LARNE TIMES

Feb.14, 1920: The death of Wm. John Dale of Bay Road, Larne Harbour, removes from our midst one of the best known residents of our town. Mr. Dale was in his 82nd year but for the past two years had been laid aside by illness, during which he was attended by his daughters, Mrs. Shaw and Miss Louisa Dale. He is also survived by an only son in Australia and a daughter, married and resident in Canada. He was the only son of Mr. Wm. Dale who carried on a large business at No.2 Main St., and, after spending some years at Inver Mills, he joined his father and succeeded him in business. His wife who was a daughter of the late Wm. Carson of Larne, predeceased him a few years ago. Mr. Dale was a member of Gardenmore Presbyterian Church and also a member of Larne Poor's Coal Fund.

Dec.10, 1949: At Te Awamuto John Dale (aged 91 years) late of Milltown, Ballyrudder, Carncastle.
